Admission (IPD)

Admission to a bed, daily rounds, the Rx sheet, the nursing chart, and a printed discharge summary.

What it does today

  • The hospital estate (floors, rooms, beds and a resource register) with a facility profile
  • Wards with a nightly bed tariff and a category such as NICU, PICU or deluxe room, and a bed census that shows who is in each bed
  • Admit to a bed, transfer between beds and wards, and discharge, with occupancy derived from admissions
  • Bed allocation that cannot double-book under concurrent admissions
  • A nursing chart of vitals, observations, intake and output, with columns each ward can choose
  • Signed daily rounds with the changes made on each round, admission diagnoses, and an Rx sheet of medication orders
  • Clinical events on one timeline, and investigations sent to the laboratory from the ward
  • A discharge summary written, finalized, amended and printed
  • An inpatient bill on one invoice, posting the bed charge one line per bed-day plus services

  • A drawn, visual bed and ward map (today the bed board is a filterable list)

On the platform core

Admission (IPD) runs on the shared platform: tenant isolation, role-based access, audit logging, and notifications are already there. You enable the module and it works with the rest of the hospital’s data.
